Anna Dickson is Vice President of Content Strategy & Operations at Shutterstock. As a global thought leader on the ever-changing multimedia landscape, Anna’s expertise lies in shaping our understanding of imagery, how we organize imagery and other forms of visual and audio content, and how we utilize multimedia assets to communicate worldwide.

Her astute knowledge of all things content, paired with a keen interest in technology has led her to a career focused on building out strategies and solutions to address today’s most pressing content challenges, while leading organizations in maximizing the opportunities of the future.

In her current role, Anna leads a global team focused on content strategy and operations, working closely with product and engineering teams to develop product solutions and create an intelligently designed body of content and content services to further power Shutterstock’s various lines of business.

Prior to Shutterstock, Anna spent eight years leading the multi-year strategy and roadmap for the Licensed Media Service at Google, an internal tool that delivers media content to 100+ product teams across Google. She also served as an instrumental voice in bringing IPTC metadata and C2PA into the Google Ecosystem.  Before settling in at the intersection of content and tech, Anna held several traditional media roles, including leading photography teams at The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal and iHeartRadio.

When Anna’s not setting her sights on the future of visuals, AI and the content ecosystem, she enjoys traveling, hiking, boxing and immersive theater productions.
